Can We Have JESUS And Sin Too?
John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 2 Cor 5:20 - ...we are ambassadors for Christ... Acts 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Matt 5:48 - Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Christ wants us to be like Him to be witnesses of Him ...we must have Him in us ...we love one another Matt 5:44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matt 19:16-17 - ...one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? ...if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Matt 19:20-21 - All these things have I kept...what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. John 17:23 - I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one... Believe 1 John 3:1-4 - Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Matt 7:14-15 - And when He had called all the people unto Him, He said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: there is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. Matt 7:18-23 - And He saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? And He said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man. 1 John 3:5-6 - And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Salvation is in Christ without sin If we are to be perfect...we must die to self You can't be perfect by being you Can you love your enemies? Those that hate and despise you? To give up self = to give up hate, to give up jealousy, to give up covetousness, to give up pride, to give up division it takes Jesus Christ all to His glory Being perfect is just wanting Christ Jesus 1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. We can't be living in Christ...and also living in sin 1 John 3:9 - Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Can we have Jesus...and have sin too? If you could be saved and never sin again...would you want it? 1 Timothy 4:15-16 Pray to the Lord Mark 8:37 - Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
